Thank you for using Pdf Toolkit ("we", "our", "the App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our Android application.
1. Information We Collect
Pdf Toolkit is designed to process your PDF files directly on your device. We do not upload, store, or transmit the contents of your PDF files to any external server. All editing, merging, splitting, compressing, watermarking, and OCR happens on-device.
We (and the third-party services we use) may collect limited information to operate the App, show ads, and diagnose problems, including:
- Device and app information: device model, Android OS version, app version, and crash/error logs, used for troubleshooting and compatibility.
- App usage data: general usage statistics (e.g., which features are used, how often) collected in aggregate to help us improve the App.
- Advertising identifiers: Google AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID and other data to serve and personalize ads, and to measure ad performance.
- Purchase information: if you subscribe to a premium plan, purchase details (such as subscription status and transaction ID) are processed by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment card details — these are handled entirely by Google.
2. Permissions We Use
- Camera: used only for the "Scan to PDF" feature, to capture pages you choose to scan. Photos are processed on-device and are not uploaded anywhere.
- Storage / Photos access: to let you select, open, edit, save, and export PDF and image files stored on your device.
- Internet access: used to load ads (AdMob), verify subscriptions (Google Play Billing), send crash/analytics reports (Firebase), and check for updates. It is not used to transmit your document contents.
- Network state: used to check connectivity before attempting network-dependent operations like loading ads.
3. How We Use Information
Any information collected is used solely to:
- Operate and maintain core App functionality
- Show and personalize ads that support the free version of the App
- Process and manage your subscription through Google Play Billing
- Diagnose crashes, technical issues, and improve app performance
- Understand aggregate feature usage to guide future improvements
- Communicate with you if you contact our support team
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not access, read, or share the contents of your PDF files.
4. Third-Party Services
Pdf Toolkit uses the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

- Google Play Billing — processes subscription payments. We never see or store your payment card details.
- Firebase Crashlytics — collects crash reports and diagnostic logs (device model, OS version, stack traces) to help us fix bugs. Firebase Privacy
- Firebase Analytics — collects aggregate, anonymized usage statistics (e.g., which tools are used) to help us improve the App.
- Google ML Kit (Document Scanner, Text Recognition) — runs on-device for scanning and OCR. Processing happens locally on your phone.
You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device's Google Ads Settings (Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization).
5. Data Storage and Security
Your PDF files and their contents remain on your device and are never transmitted to our servers. We take reasonable technical measures to protect any limited data collected by the services above from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.
6. Children's Privacy
Pdf Toolkit is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.
7. Your Choices
- You can manage or revoke app permissions (Camera, Storage) anytime through your device's Settings.
- You can opt out of personalized ads via your device's Ads Settings.
- You can cancel your subscription anytime through Google Play's subscription management.
- You can request deletion of any diagnostic data tied to your device by contacting us below.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the App's features change. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
